Today I was reading an interview by Guns.com with the author of the book, “God, Guns & Guts: The Greatest Book Ever Made About Contemporary American Gun Culture“, by Ben Philippi.
Ben’s book drew a lot of criticism in the gun community about proper firearm safety, but that is not what caught my attention.
Ben was talking to one of the people portrayed in his book named Paul who lives in Florida. He was pictured in the book sitting in a homemade hot tub with an AK-47. Paul is a computer programmer who is described as a weekend Redneck.
Ben told Paul about all the criticism he was getting from the American gun community for putting people such as himself in the book. Paul’s reply was one of the best statements I have heard in a long time.
“When did America get so boring? We used to strive on being crazy, unique and bold. Now everyone’s going around apologizing and worrying about what other people think.”
The answer he gave hit home with me. We worry too much what other people think. We should not have to apologize for our beliefs. Our actions are our own and no one else’s business. We even have a President that bows down to other world leaders and apologizes for our American exceptionalism.
Remember America is the land of the FREE and home of the BRAVE. Not a bunch of lazy wimps who are too scared to break a sweat or worry about what others think. Be Bold, be crazy, be unique and most of all be Americans!
Do you apologize for America?

This is an epic body of work, these images belong in the art gallery.
Amen. Enough apologizing. Let’s get back to work!
We certainly have become to concerned with not offending anyone, it makes us boring and a little stupid at the same time. This country was built on bold action, by people who would certainly frown on much of what goes on today. Everybody, including the president should stop apologizing for America.
Exactly! Between being overly politically correct and being afraid to upset Islamic countries we have turned into wimps.
